Foreign Missionaries and NGOs in Dominican Republic

Missionaries are volunteers who move to a foreign country sent into an area to do evangelism or ministries of service, such as education, literacy, social justice, healthcare and economic development. They often relocate alone, with a friend or partner or with their entire family to a location of their own choosing, temporarily or permanently, depending on their own financial support and often on a very low budget. A common example would be Jehovah’s Witnesses.

NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) are legally constituted corporations created by natural or judicial person that operate independently of any form of government. Their activities might include human rights, environmental, development work or disaster relief. A common example would be the Doctors Without Borders or the Red Cross.

If you are a missionary or NGO, we understand that you often come to this country on a tight budget, hoping to concentrate on your missionary work. For this we are able to provide you with services at reduced costs. Please contact us for a free quote.

  • Residency Visa

    Residency Visa

All foreign nationals looking to remain in the country longer than sixty days and obtain legal status, must complete a two part residency process. The first step is to obtain a RESIDENCY VISA via the Dominican Consulate in the country of origin, which is stamped onto the passport prior to traveling to the D.R. Once the residency visa is issued, the foreign national will have sixty days to enter the country and start the second part of the residency process with the Dominican Immigration Department.

There are two ways the Residency Visa (RS) can be processed: 1) From abroad: we can process the residency visa before your arrival in the country so that same is approved and stamped onto your passport before you travel. 2) From the Dominican Republic. Depending on the Consulate in the country of origin/residence, we may be able to interpose an application for a visa while the foreign national is on Dominican soil. You can apply for your residency visa immediately, we can work with you virtually or in person.
